It may take a village to raise a child, but it takes all of us to transport animals, humanitarian supplies and personnel across country.

Sky Ark’s business model is based on sharing the cost of transport between donors who want to help animals and the pilots who want to log time in a multi-engine aircraft. Pilots donate their time and pay for the cost of fuel, landing fees, lodging and meals, and other donors cover the cost of the aircraft. Our transports are of the long-distance variety – from one end of the country to the other.

A new ARK is needed

After years of using small multi-engine aircraft to provide free transports, we came to realize that our little arks did not provide enough space to accommodate the number of transport requests we regularly receive. We have decided that we need a real "ARK," one that can carry a substantial load, and we are looking at all possibilities. These include the aircraft listed below, although a specially equipped bus could also work for our purposes.

Aircraft Needed

We are asking for donations of aircraft and aircraft parts, or funding to purchase them. We need a heavy transport aircraft for our air transport service. Aircraft ideally suited for Sky Ark include the C-123 Provider, Casa 212 or a DC-3, but we are open to other possibilities that may present themselves.

We need to raise $100,000 for the new "ARK" -- please help us reach that goal by making a donation and spreading the word. Naming rights are available for any donation in excess of $25,000. We have been contacted by several TV and film companies that have requested our participation in several TV and film projects. These projects would give any naming donor high visibility to a large audience.

We always maximize the number of animals, humanitarian supplies or disaster personnel we carry, but we can't take off until the new "ARK" donation thermometer reaches our $100,000 goal, ensuring that we having enough funding to purchase, maintain and fly our new "ARK."
